Arts and Craft Show Under 20's

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW invites all eligible future Exhibitors to participate in our Under 20's Sydney Royal Arts & Crafts Competition at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

The Competitions are easy to enter and include:

  • Artwork, Photography, Ceramics and Pottery

  • Mosaic, Wood work and Leather work

  • Needlework, Knitting and Crochet

  • Homewares, Scrapbooking and Soft Toys

  • Patchwork, Applique and Quilting

  • Quilling, Calligraphy and Card making

  • Cake Decorating, Preserves and Perishable cooking

Design Files Kids Art Awards

The Brief: We’re calling on all Aussie kids to show us anything and everything that feels like ‘home’.

Show us your home or perhaps your garden. Paint a ‘family portrait’. Anything IN your home works too! Can you draw your lego collection, your pet lizard, or your baby brother? Or how about a painting of your favourite home cooked dinner? Your artwork can be anything that reminds you of home.

Open to: The competition is open to all Australian kids, up to age 16.

Categories: Up to 5 yrs ; 6-7 years ;8-10 years ; 11-13 years ; 14-16 years

Prizes: 1 x winner in each of the 5 age categories will receive $1,000 each thanks to Honan, plus their winning artwork on a customised pencil case thanks to Crumb Kids – and all the accolades!

15 runners up (3 in each age group) will receive their winning design on a customised pencil case thanks to Crumb Kids.

Closing date: 5.00pm on Sunday April 24th, 2022.

ANSTO Incredible Insects Competition

The Brief: You must digitally colour one of the incredible close-up images of insects taken by ANSTOs powerful Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM).

Open to: School students from all States/ Territories of Australia are invited to enter.

Prizes: $100 gift card and prize pack for the best entry from a high school student

Entry fee: Free entry

Closing date: Save and upload your entry between 1 and 31 July, 2022 (late entries will not be accepted).

Children's Charity Network

Childrens Charity Network is a Victorian based not-for-profit organisation, which acts as an umbrella for different programs/initiatives. Its main aim is to build, foster and nurture confidence and self-esteem in all children.

OzKids Art Program

The Ozkids Art Program showcases the talents of Australian children and provides a platform to enter their work and have it assessed by a panel of experts. All approved entries are published here on the website. Some are selected for publication in our OzKids Magazine and at the end of the year, the Winners are Announced.

Competitions include The Young Australian Art Awards and Young Australian Writer Awards.

Illustration Station & CYA

The Illustration Station & CYA Award

The brief: submit a colour illustration suitable for a book, based on the theme ‘surprise’.

Open to: All illustrators who are 8 – 18 years old (as of 3rd April 2022) worldwide, who have not been published in book format within the section’s genres.

Entry fee: free.

Prizes: first ($100), second ($60) and third prize ($40) will be awarded in each category.

Closing date: Sunday 3 April 2022.

Future Leaders Photography Prize

The brief: The Future Leaders Photography Prize is designed to recognize talented young photographers. Year 12 students are invited to submit digital photographic work (one photograph for each student). The work submitted can be on any theme. Submissions must include Student’s Name, School and Year Level.

Open to: Year 12 students

Prizes: The award winner will receive $1,000. Where there is more than one winner the prize money will be shared.

Acknowledgement of Country Poster Competition 2022

The Brief: Create a poster featuring an Acknowledgment of Country written in the Indigenous language of your local area!

Open to: Entrants must be 18 years of age or under to enter.

Prizes: There will be two major prizes. Each winning school will receive language resources that will be compiled by First Languages Australia to the value of $200

Canal to Creek Art Prize

 

The BriefTo celebrate the Transurban Public Art Program, high school students in years 7-10 are invited to create their own artwork, inspired by the 21 signature art pieces that form 'Canal to Creek'.

Theme: The theme for the Canal to Creek Prize is 'Connections'. We want you to consider connections to earth, culture, history, movement and environment.

Open to: Australian School Students in Years 7 - 10

Prizes: There's over $15,000 in prizes to be won, including Ipads and Eckersley's art vouchers

Entry fee: Free entry

Closing date: 4th November 2022

Winners announced: 30 January 2023
